About the Project
The Covered Walkway Project is a proposed community improvement initiative to connect Taman Connaught with MRT Taman Connaught through a covered pedestrian route. At present, the resident route to the MRT includes areas without a proper pedestrian walkway, and this proposal aims to create a safer and more comfortable walking experience. The project also supports better first mile-last mile connectivity for residents and daily commuters.
Why This Project Matters
This project is important because it can help make daily travel safer, easier, and more comfortable for the community. A proper covered pedestrian walkway can reduce exposure to weather, improve walking conditions, and provide a clearer route to the MRT station. It is also planned with accessibility and safety features such as tactile tiles, zebra crossing improvements, signboards, and lighting works.
